“I am looking for a friendly bike mechanic who happens to enjoy working on older frames. I own a few vintage/ Retro bikes that need repairs/ and general tune ups and would like to go to the same person every time. Bike shops can be impersonal sometimes and I would rather go to a familiar face every time rather than going to the same bicycle shop. This is kind of like how some people get a personal chef when they suck at cooking, only much much more rewarding. It would be neat if you were self employed ( I realize what I am asking can be done at any bike shop, but I would rather do it the non conventional way) In case you don’t know.. I am of course planing to pay you well for this sort of thing.”—
This is super creepy. Can’t wait to see how this unfolds.
Tip of the Hat to whoever reclaimed the Greenway(click for photo) by kicking, throwing or persuading every single cone that was set up at 2PM on a beautiful Saturday afternoon for an event on Sunday.
Why would the event organizers think it would be OK to set up cones the day before on a public path?
On Saturday as my son and I were biking home on the greenway we were forced into the oncoming bike lane because a pickup truck was taking up 1/2 of the pedestrian lane and 1/2 of our bike lane. The rest of the bike lane was obstructed by a woman walking behind the truck and dropping cones.
This was at 2pm. On probably one of the higher traffic days of the year.
If anyone can tell me what event happened on Sunday drop me a line.
Update: It was some form of walk-a-thon. Still don’t know which.
